About the program

The modules, which cover the fundamentals of GRI reporting, will deepen your knowledge and skills in using the GRI standards. In addition, they will enable you to improve your sustainability reporting credentials, and therefore the level of your sustainability reporting.

The program provides anyone working in sustainability reporting with a learning path that covers the basics of GRI reporting:

Content

MODULE 1: REPORTING WITH THE GRI STANDARDS
This course is designed for individuals seeking an in-depth understanding of the GRI Standards and how to apply them to produce impact reporting aligned with international best practices. It offers a pedagogical approach that combines theoretical foundations with practical guidance for effective implementation.
MODULE 2: REPORTING ON HUMAN RIGHTS WITH THE GRI STANDARDS 2021
This course is intended for participants who have already completed the “Reporting with the GRI Standards” training and wish to deepen their practical knowledge of human rights reporting. It aims to provide a focused understanding of how to apply the GRI Standards in real-life reporting contexts, with an emphasis on identifying, managing, and disclosing human rights impacts in alignment with best practices.
MODULE 3: NAVIGATING THE GRI SECTOR STANDARDS
This course is designed for participants who wish to understand how to apply the GRI Sector Standards to improve the consistency, quality, and comparability of sustainability reporting. It aims to provide the necessary knowledge to identify sector-specific impacts, relevant material topics, and disclosures, in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
MODULE 4: TRANSPARENCY FOR TOMORROW: DECODING THE SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING LANDSCAPE
This course offers an in-depth exploration of the current sustainability reporting landscape. It aims to help participants understand emerging trends and distinguish between the main reporting instruments. It also highlights how these instruments can be used in conjunction with the GRI Standards to enhance the consistency and effectiveness of sustainability reporting.
MODULE 5: PREPARATION FOR THE CERTIFICATION EXAM TO BECOME A GRI CERTIFIED SUSTAINABILITY PROFESSIONAL
This course is designed to help participants prepare for the official GRI Certification Exam. It focuses on reviewing key concepts and verifying participants’ understanding of the GRI Standards to ensure they are ready to obtain the GRI Certified Sustainability Professional designation.
